On September 12, 2014, Trees Atlanta will be having a “Tailgate
for Trees” at the Kendeda Center.
“Tailgate for Trees,” is
a casual, tailgate-themed party that will serve as a kickoff to the annual planting season. Festivities
will
include food truck fare, drinks, and a silent auction featuring an
array of rare and unusual plants not available at local retailers, as
well as woodcrafts and art pieces from local artisans and street artists
such as you.
As
a fellow woodcraft enthusiast, I am hoping you will join
me in contributing to our silent auction to help reach our fundraising
goal and to heighten the experience by donating your finest handmade art
pieces. Donors
will be recognized on the event invitation
if the donated item(s) is valued at more than $250. You will also
receive two tickets to the event with a donation valued at $250 or more.
Donors will receive recognition on signage at the event ($250 or more
with logo, name listing if less than $250).
I am certain your artifacts will be a great conversation
piece at the party. To make a donation to our silent auction, simply fill out and return the attached auction reply form by August 8th,
2014. After the conclusion of the event, all auction donors will
receive a letter with our tax ID number, acknowledging their donation
and the amount for which it was sold.
All proceeds from the evening will benefit Trees Atlanta’s tree planting
and education programs. This year we reached the milestone of 100,000 trees planted across Atlanta—now
we’re busy planning the next
100,000! You’ll be pleased to know that in the last year we’ve reached
over 3,900 children through our youth education programs. All of this has been made possible by the support of people like you.
Please direct any questions to me at eli@treesatlanta.org or
404-681-4890.
We thank you for your consideration of our request.
Sincerely,
Eli Dickerson
